If you care to google you will find hundreds of indigenous benefit fraudsters unfortunately.

Agreed. Dozens of benefit cheats appear before the courts every day and very few cases make it into the national media. A bit of googling suggests that the case you refer to was covered by local media, and even got a mention in the Wail, but it didn't appear on the national pages of the BBC website. (Only a very, very small number of people in the UK use Yahoo as a news source).
