Sikhs Ask Media To Stop Calling Pakistani Muslim Rape Gangs ‘Asian’

'The Network of Sikh Organisations (NSO) has called on the media to stop referring to grooming gangs that are predominantly comprised of perpetrators from a Pakistani Muslim background as “Asian”, which inaccurately incorporates British Hindu and Sikh communities.'

I see their point, but, why not call them, Pakistani Muslim rape gangs?

There's always been acrimony between the two religions although I find the Sikhs very peace loving and tend to get on with their lives, it's obvious they don't want to come under the Umbrella of those gangs who've been charged with rape but geographically speaking, they are all Asians

These gangs *are* predominantly Pakistani Muslim but there is the occasional 'other nationality Muslim' (but would be considered Asian) and less frequently a non-Muslim (but still Asian).

It is a knotty problem; perhaps they just ought to be labelled male rape gangs?

You obviously have personal reasons for defending Islam at every opportunity, Danny. But really, trying to pin the blame for the rape gangs on the 2-3% of Pakistanis who aren't Muslim is frankly ridiculous.

I was referring to Iranian/Afghani, etc. muslims (heading towards Asia-n). There is the occasional Albanian (Muslim but *not* Asian) for good measure, too.
