Now all the MP’s are telling him how wonderful he’s been.
Gove is a suck-up.
Can't say I'll miss him, horrid little man
Job well done
Now Hilary Benn is saying Bercow will go down in history as great speaker.
Well done that man. Quite a few years late though.
Did you mishear the word "speaker" ?
Ha ha.

Another plan by the odious Cummings comes back to bite him and Boris.

The next speaker will be chosen by a vote of the House of Commons, which the Government now have a minus 47 majority.
Sounds like a great job for a sacked Tory, step forward Alustair Burt.
agreed
bit of a tear jerker in the commons
where they are all jerking each other.....

Speaker Martin - the corrupt one - was MUCH harder to dislodge
this one
Bercow - you are a stinker !

Bercow for it is he: oh well I ' ll go then
Ah, a good point there Gromit. They all wanted Bercow to go, so he did -- on his terms, not somebody else's.

Still sad to see him go -- from my point of view of course -- but the fact remains that, as the Speaker's job is to aid the House of Commons in expressing its will, he's probably achieved that fairly successfully.
Ha ! Good riddance ..
// Did you mishear the word "speaker" ?//

has someone used the word wonker then?

every speaker that goes - is called the greatest speaker....
not sure about the last one.....
agree Jim as usual

I think he did well and the house was less a flock of sheep under his guidance

All the things that need discussing, and the time is being used for personal anecdotes and ass kissing.
Good grief.
Johnson/Cummings are amateurs. Johnson has a long history of bumbling, not sure what Cummings’ excuse is.

They have already spitefully said that their ex-Chancellors will not get a peerage. So Clarke / Hammond are between jobs. They could jobshare the position. ;-)
Lindsay Hoyle will be the next Speaker
// All the things that need discussing, and the time is being used for personal anecdotes and ass kissing.
Good grief.// no they seem to be kissing all parts of his anatomy

They have already spitefully said that their ex-Chancellors will not get a peerage. how petty and un-Etonian
considering the absolute dross that does get into the Upper House
great, worst speaker in living memory, Gorbals mick was a total pillock but at least he grasped the basics.
NO ONE should get a peerage until at least half the existing ones have died or retired!
If we replaced the Speakers Chair, with a Speakers Bed , then JRM could apply for the position.
