//He didn’t ambush anyone, concentrate on the main subject........ brexit//
Even if you are too blinkered and anti-English to notice the U.S. Ambassador didn't miss a trick.
He was ambushed and it has backfired.

Danny. Not a great analogy imo. We are talking about politicians here and not the general population.
I could not stand De Gaulle or Macron but have no problem with the French or Germans, or indeed, any other Europeans.I seem to recall someone said it's politicians who start wars. :-(

Firstly, it is not clever to take one person’s speech, and apply his views to be the view of the whole nation. Mr Bettel belongs to a very pro-Europe political Party which is the Luxembourg equivalent of the Liberal Democrats. When Jo Swinson speaks about the EU, is she speaking for you and for the country. No she isn’t, and neither is Bettel.
Secondly, there is no evidence that they hate us. Quite the contrary. They have agreed to our Brexit Deal. The problem is our own politicians cannot agree to our own deal.

Gromit
How do you describe the behaviour of this 'pipsqueak' Sheer crass ignorance or pure bad manners.
It was an attempt to humilliate the P.M. of another country. It was grandstanding and a hi-jack.
The talks were supposed to be between Junker and Johnson on neutral territory (Luxembourg). The press conference should of been conducted between Johnson and Junker.
The 'pipsqueak' was merely the host of the neutral country.
