I suspect the national view of Diana and Megan are somewhat different. Whilst understanding concern, the whole royal circus is a commodity, and one needs to be diplomat with the powerful, such as the press.
since when was the publication of private letters news? do they really think that the majority of readers are interested in the personal matters of the royal family?
Aelmpvw, this is the Daily Mail, a lot of their readership loathe Meghan simply being either mixed-race, American or divorced. Being all three makes he the antichrist to them. The Mail are simply given their readers what they want.
I'm torn here, Princess Diana was cut adrift from the Royal Family and was loved by the public, look how the majority mourned her untimely death. Can the same be said for Meghan? No, she's not loved like Diana was and I think it's an entirely different ball game and Harry has got it wrong. I'm not particularly a fan, but she married into the Royal Family surely knowing what to expect and she seems to be trying to change it all to suit herself. I guess it's natural that Harry wants to protect her.

People tend to forget that before she died and became saint Diana, his mother had to put up with the same kind of garbage from the press. I hope they win.
Diana was going to be our future Queen, Hereiam, Meghan is not, so it's not really fair to compare the two in such a way. Sure, Harry makes the connection but that's because he witnessed first hand just what happened to his mother. He doesn't want the same thing happening to his wife. And, imho, she's not trying to 'change it all to suit herself'. She just wants to maintain as much privacy as is possible given the family she married into.
