The police have just confirmed that his DNA / blood was on the attackers clothing and footwear, and they will be taking the case to the CPS on Monday to charge him. He has a history of ABH too.

So that's around 5½ months but there can still be quite wide variations on that figure. (Last Friday a judge in Ipswich Crown Court criticised the delay in court procedures when sentencing a man who'd been arrested for the offence, for which he'd then pleaded guilty, back in September 2017).
