This bill would probably pass easily. His own vote has no chance of success..
The issue with cancelling the election if the EU don’t extend to Jan 31 is hardly with bothering with: the only threat to that extension is if Macron gets his way, but if parliament voted for an election Macron would back down.

This illustrates a major shortcoming with opinion polls. I do not believe they are sophisticated to deal with our FPTP system.

Opinion polls need to concentrate on unsafe seats right across the nation. With that info they ought to be sophisticated enough to make decent predictions. Is that not what they do now ? Sometimes it seems they take opinions outside of party headquarters.
