Funny how the Brexiteers have gone very quiet tonight. How long will it be until they admit that Boris is a lying, incompetent, arrogant and dangerous fool and give him the election result he deserves (I read that the Tories are already seeking out a safe seat for him rather than standing again in his current constituency.....says it all really)

Clearly it'll be a while as the opposition parties, particularly Labour, are doing everything possible to avoid an election as they all know he'd win an election

The thing is that while the other parties haven't got a leader that is electable he is going to stay there. Many mps and meps know that when we do have an election they will be out of work due to going against the people who put them there so will and are doing anything possible to keep us in for as long they can. As LibDem MEP Caroline Voaden said she doesn't want us to leave because she would be out of a job.

Polls don't always get it right, Bobbisox. There's plenty of times when they've been wide of the mark. I don't think any party will win a majority in a GE.

I’m very glad we will still be in the EU on November 1.
Less glad that an election appears imminent in which the choice will be between two extreme parties led by Boris Johnson and Jeremy Corbyn.
I am looking forward to our local MP being booted out by the Lib Dem candidate however.

For what it is worth, I don’t think the conditions which applied in 2017 and led to electoral disaster for Theresa May, apply now.
But we shall see.

I can't disagree with any of those adjectives - and I notice that, while they say they disagree, nobody's actually tried to show which one of them is untrue.
