"Clearly, I am better qualified than the fire service lol"

I never said that.. But i'm sure you're informed enough to know if a building is burning from the outside in, you probably want to get out and not "Stay Put".
Or would you have stay put, Pixie?
From my training.... the safest thing to do, is to shut all the fire doors to contain any fire to the smallest place. Bear in mind, this is with 76 vulnerable residents and around 30 staff.
If I was told to do anything different by the fire service- i would listen.
Then you would have died.
Because we're literally talking life and death.. It's all well and good respecting authority and bevelling they know best, but fact is, they rarely do. They know just as much as you, and ur both present at the same situation. Fire is a natural element, there isn't much you need to know about it to know how dangerous it is, and to know basically all there is to know. A lot of it is common sense.
Actually... probably not, as our building was properly made to correct regulations.
Sometimes, properly trained and experienced people DO know better. I have no problem admitting that.
Well i'm sure the Grenfell residents felt their building was build to the correct regulations also especially being in the heart of London
The residents thought so... but was it really? I know you hate facts and prefer opinions... but surely the responsibility is with those who built it... assuming they were ,or should have been, aware of the risks?
Yes, and i’ve said as much. Those who chose to cheap out on the cladding should be held accountable
Actually you don’t use water on an electrical fire. You should know the colours of the extinguishers which denote its contents. Who, as a matter of interest, taught you these skills?
Every three years I had to pass the St Johns First Aid exam. In my particular group we had to learn, unofficially, more Advanced First Aid and attended lectures at Frenchay Hospital as well as procedures. Using a biro and penknife to do a Tracheotomy, defibrillators etc. This was not taught by the St John Ambulance. Iwould not dream of coming on this site and arguing a point with a professional paramedic. Remember Spath,’a little knowledge can be dangerous’
Three groups of people got it wrong even before the fire brigade were involved spath so why are you just blaming them. what about the architects, the cladding manufactures and the building contractors? they all had the responsibility to ensure that building met safety standards, clearly it didn't. If those groups had got it right then the fire brigade wouldn't have even been involved, you are like them, you've all got your priorities mixed up and are blaming the wrong people.
I never argued with a firefighter over colours of extinguishers or types of fire i simply had a difference of opinion
Vulcan, i’m not just
Blaming them.

You are funny :-)
Who lectured you on fires when you went to school Spath?
Spicerack
Why Have I changed my mind ??

There's another 2 years to this inquiry where those things will be investigated, Vulcan. This part concentrated on the response.
Which was sadly lacking. Fire officers on the scene begged their commanders to evacuate the building.
Only those Common Purpose seat-warmers were too paralysed with fear to make a decision, put their heads, 6 figure salaries and 7 figure pensions on the block.
It's the same reason a man hangs from a tower for 14 hours until he dies alone.
Because I was going to avail you of a few facts about your beloved St. Dany. You said that was your final word on the subject so I respected that and didn't.
You see a post you agree with and jump right back into the thread.
Spice, I have looked up "common purpose" a couple of times, as you keep using it, but it makes no sense to me. Can you clarify please? X
