A UFC fighter worth 85 million punched a man in the face in a bar, who was in his fifties, simply because he refused a drink from the professional UFC fighter.

He's been ordered to pay £860 and has avoided jail, even though his punches could be fatal to the average Joe.

Imagine saying no to a shot of whiskey (I personally can) to be punched in the face for doing so? Then that person (worth 85 mil) is simply fined £850 with no repercussion.

After McGregor attacked the UFC bus, not only has he proven that he is wildly uncontrollable, and has a serious rage and disrespect for law and order, but he will also attack the regular public.

Shame on the authorities for not putting this man where he belongs.

What the authorities have said, is basically that Connor can assault who he wants, where he wants to a certain extent, and he won't face any retribution as long as he pays for his punches.

Considering he's worth eighty five million how many people could he knock out before he goes broke?

Zacs there is a video, it did not look confrontational. Mcgreggor was drunk and the guy was just trying to enjoy his pint in solitude.

Regardless, if you feel that warrants physical assault then that's your opinion certainly not mine.

He is specialised and trained in mixed martial arts. He punched an innocent 50 year old in the face because he wouldn't cry of happiness over being offered some McGreggor whiskey. This hurt Connors ego so he punched the man in the face.

Anyone think that's OK?

Awful Awful. Before connor even walks into the bar you can see the chap is just in his own vibe, minding his own business.

This is not OK im not happy with the result. Connor should have been sent to prison or fined much more than 1000 euro. Ban him from professional fighting, ruin career.

I would not for one moment wish to condone the violence here, but in regard to the advised punishment in terms of the perpetrator's bank balance and profession -

the law has to be even handed for it to work for everyone, and this is the downside - an assault carries a mandated sentence which is not conditional on the bank balance or the profession of the criminal involved.

It appears unfair, in fact it is absolutely the opposite, and this is how the law is able to work fairly for everyone.
