There is something i don't understand - and maybe someone on here can explain it without banging any political drums. If a politician of any persuasion stands in front of a tv audience of millions, and blatantly tells a pre-election lie, why is he or she not taken to task by the Electoral Commission? On the question of the NHS being 'on the table' in trade deals with the US, Corbyn waved some papers about and stated that they were the redacted minutes of meetings between the Tory government and people representing US pharmaceutical interests. The papers he showed to the audience - which he says were as a result of a FOI request - were covered in black ink with hardly any (if any at all) wording visible. Johnson rebuffed this as total nonsense and said that the minutes were published in entirety and were available to read. One of them was telling a blatant lie.
