Hmmm …. Have they thought about who’s going to pay for that? I'll tell them. The consumer - with everything he buys - from household fuel to transport to food! That'll help the poor!!
They’re even scaring the unions!

They just don't get it, taxing anything or anyone who they deem to be profitable or wealthy will make them go elsewhere to invest their wealth.
I'd have thought the unions would have seen sense to avoid friendship with Labour when labour became noo labour and forgot their roots.

It's completely potty though, alba. It's not as though oil and gas are things we can all do without. We can't boycott it. We all need it and it stands to reason that the companies and their shareholders who have invested their money in those companies aren't going to lose out because Corbyn & Co aren't compos mentis!
The whole Labour tax policy is just completely bizarre. They just seem to point at things and think 'yep, we can tax that' without any comprehension that the more you tax the more people/companies will avoid tax.
They just don't get it.
Here's an idea - charge everything at 20%. Income tax, corporation tax, inheritance tax.....everything. There can then be no argument. The 'poor' (in Labour parlance that means anybody earning under £80k) and the 'rich' (in labour parlance that means anybody earning over £80k) all pay the same % amount. Those earning more will pay more, those earning less, won't.
As the Demi-God Del would say, bonnet de douch.
