I suppose it's one way to advertise your business but is it too much to hope that the Court will throw it out?

I keep thinking ''only in America''

tricky one but I suppose she wants some sort of declaration in law that she can't be sued herself if she's asked and refuses.
She can refuse though, just don't give the reason, just say you're fully booked.

I didn't think of that one jno :-)

That’s a sure fire way to get the lgbtxxx whatever name tag they have knocking at her door demanding she service them and will sue her pants off if she refuses.
Ah but if they contact and say are you free xx date and go through the motions and when she realises then cancels she will be in the wrong.

If they keep their same sex from her in the beginning.....
She’s pre-empting the inevitable. Potential biter, bit.
it's not only in US, sure there are some vicars, photographers who don't care for the idea of same sex couples, and more besides
Not caring for the way some people live their lives is one thing - drawing attention to yourself as a bigot and a numpty is another!
Pointless ! No photographer HAS to photograph anything !! She is just after free publicity !!
Will the case be heard in camera?
all sounds a bit silly to me, any provider of any service has the right to refuse to provide that service at their own discretion so why is this genius going to court?
Well there was the case of the baker in NI refusing to do a gay wedding cake & that went to court (may still be ongoing?).
Pre-empting a 'gay cake' furore.
She's just after more exposure. I'll get me coat:-)
Think the NI bakery case was won by the bakers in the Supreme court.
Brownie points for Douglas.
Some people on here appear to have very short memories.
the whole cake thing was because one side made a big deal of going to a cake shop where they new they would not supply a cake to them and the cake shop duly obliged but said why. If they'd have just refused without explanation there would be no case.
//Think the NI bakery case was won by the bakers in the Supreme court.//

After years of unwarranted hassle, hatred and strife for the bakers.
This seems like a successful advertising stunt. At least we now all know about Chelsey Nelson Photography and her homophobic career.
//She can refuse though, just don't give the reason, just say you're fully booked.//
