Mixed works- as long as only the sinks are public and the cubicles are big enough to get a pram, pushchair, toddlers in.
It's perfectly normal in France and Belgium for women to have to pass urinals on their way to use the loo. It's never caused any problems there, so why should it here?
I read that as ...toilet pavlova!
They aren't "gender neutral" btw. Just mixed.
I once had to use the Men's as Ladies was out of order. A burly biker came in and said in a mischievous tone, 'I didn't know these toilets were ambidextrous!'
I am against gender neutral toilets. A local community centre changed their toilets and said most were happy with the change and would get used to it . Next thing you know arrangements were changed for the weekend because the local asian community had a event on and it was not suitable for them !
There is no such thing as "gender neutral". It means nothing. Mixed toilets are fine in relevant, family places, as long as they are set out properly.
Those toilets are poorly designed, for everyone.
I am sure women would rather pass urinals than they would having males walking past them urinating.

Seems we're all to precious in this day and age.

You know I use to have to share a bath with 4 women and 2 males growing up? Not one complaint.
Thedevil, neither of those is appropriate for most people.
I don't want to walk past mens urinals !
Is the problem with the urinal or with the shared facilities?

If it's with the urinal then I do agree those types of urinal are quite dated. If it's with the fact that the facilities are "gender neutral" then I guess people are always going to have a problem no matter what they look like.
The Devil, that was either a ruddy big bath or a swimming pool.
"Gender neutral' literally means nothing, thedevil. If course most women don't want to share with men. Why would they?
Pixie374 - "Why would they?"

I have no idea why they would. I personally would not like to share with a male and I am one!

So if "Gender neutral" means nothing, then what is the issue? Is it the urinal or the fact that the facilities are shared?

a scenario i could imagine 4 blokes urinating in that urinal, women walks in with children..blokes all turn to look...ooops.
Lots of places just have one toilet, with a male, female and disabled sign in the door. Doesn’t bother me.
Its in the Daily Wail !! hardly known for its 'neutral reporting ' !!!
Well, it's news to me that men turn round with their tackle in hand to have a nosy peep - surely most finish the job facing the urinal.

There is another block on site with cubicles only and disabled and baby changing facilities too.

The ethos of the Trust emanates from that of earlier times.

Put a sign upon the door. ‘Mind how you go’.
