The TV activity may well show things about someones ability to do TV but apart from that and entertainment value, if you like that sort of thing, I think that they are of little value to the electorate.
I find it interesting that the OP has called it "Andrew Neil v. Johnson" Surely the aim of these interviews should not be adversarial between the interviewer and interviewee? I mean of what use is that?

Boris will probably do what should have been done decades ago. He will sensibly set in motion the government machinery to close down the propaganda machine that the bloated and biased Beep Beep See has become, and let them fund their own marxist, opinionated, agenda. just go on fold arms and let Neil talk for 30 minutes. if he does leave a gap answer the first question of the 17 he spews forth. I'd fire Neil he's a terrible interviewer, well he's not an interviewer. He even had me feeling sorry for Jezza the other day! He should watch Frost/Nixon and learn how to do it.
