You know what? I don't care. The TV activity may well show things about someones ability to do TV but apart from that and entertainment value, if you like that sort of thing, I think that they are of little value to the electorate.
I find it interesting that the OP has called it "Andrew Neil v. Johnson" Surely the aim of these interviews should not be adversarial between the interviewer and interviewee? I mean of what use is that?
