I was talking this over with Mr J2 the other day. We both thought that if all these rabid Remainers had just kept quiet we would have had May's BRINO forced on us - which would have been such an awful state of affairs, that, depressed, we would have applied to rejoin and the EU would have punished us heavily. But of course, in their supreme arrogance, they believed that every obstructive step the took was simply a step on the way to complete abandonment of Brexit. Ms Miller in particular is on record as saying soon after the vote that the result made her "physically sick". So there is no truth in her continued assertions that she was only taking the actions she took "to ensure Parliamentary democracy prevailed." In fact that was far from the truth.

Their arrogance clouded their judgement because they should have realised that you don't mess with the UK electorate.

Mr Swinson (aka Duncan Hames) is a strange fish. He trained as an accountant before becoming a local councillor. In 2010 he was elected as a Lib Dem MP and was PPS to Nick Clegg. Since being chucked out in the 2015 election he has risen to become acting Executive Director of something called "Transparency International". That is an organisation which devotes itself to seeking out and addressing global corruption. I imagine, therefore, the EU is of interest to him from that viewpoint. But it may be that, according to its accounts on its own website, in 2018 Transparency International received £3,463,555 from the European Commission.
