I was shocked when I saw this on the news earlier and although the woman caught him off guard when she pulled him towards her, was he right to smack her hand like that?
He has since apologised but it's not really something you would expect to see from the Pope.

Agree Barsel, certainly tarnished his halo somewhat, he reacted very grumpily very quickly. I was quite shocked.

well bully for him.....if anyone else had done that they would probably have also said sorry, but would maybe be hit with a law-suit for assault.

Yes.
