What do we owe them?

Apart from creating, supporting and perpetuating the institution that sees people like them born into a life that's mapped out for them by us, what do we owe them?

We have created Harry's fame and it's because of us that he and his family need protection. Therefore we should pay for their security.

Beyond that, they're on their own and they should easily be capable of being self-supporting.
