However, we a have a civil Service full of the liberal elite that will do everything in its power to stop this or disrupt this. On top of that we are still tied to Bliars HRA and the out of touch minority Metropolitan liberal elite judges will undoubtedly use this to thwart Priti.
In essence more work to do. Drain the swamps of the liberal elites and get rid of the HRA and replace it with something more akin to what the majority want.
It's a start in the right direction though. The fight back to take back our country from the liberal elite starts now it seems.

I wonder what all supermarkets, from Aldi to Waitrose will do for supplies of fresh and prepared food when this kicks in, almost all of it picked or processed by European workers.
Maybe we can utilise the skills and work ethic of commonwealth citizens instead, save them from themselves by getting them off the street corners and into the fields.

It's a fine start. But I suspect it'll need tweaking once in place, to avoid having an uneven playing field. For example imports from foreign countries using cheap labour and importing here competing with UK companies now forced to pay a decent rate to attract staff. Maybe tax breaks can help here.
I've little sympathy for those who, knowing this was coming for years, have made no arrangements for a smooth transition post-Brexit. Sticking to a reliance on cheap labour instead of changing tack gradually leaving just the last of the necessary transition left, is down to their own choice.
Meanwhile I reckon 70 points won't be that easy to get. Certainly targets narrowly.
Interesting what counts as skilled though. Carpenters and plasterers not already on the list (are they semi-skilled then ?) whilst waiters and waitresses go out (they surely range from unskilled to fully skilled) and childminders come in (who also can range from unskilled to fully skilled). Seems a random chance to get on the list, one wonders about the criteria.

I can’t see see this working. Diane Abbott may be the black witch to many and I’m not her biggest fan either but she’s essentially right. Immigration will be ultimately determined by economic need.
The “workshy” will always be the “workshy” be they British, Polish or whatever. Trying to tempt people into work by higher wages can only have limited success. Higher wages mean higher prices: that is just plain old economics.
