New £20 Note
With the new £20 note being launched today, I wonder how often and why/where do people still use cash?

I won't do online banking any more, it has got too complicated. OH spent nearly 3 hours (yes, you read it, 3 hours) trying to pay a bill on line through Nat. West. Not only is he a long-term customer, but he use to work for them!!!! He gave up in the end, after a very long, typed conversation could only offer to send him a new code, and is sending a cheque instead. Cheques work, I'm happy with that. If it ain't broke - don't fix it!

^^ Ps I've just trawled back and see that diddly makes reference to John Lewis points and mentioned 'no brainer'. Sorry, I won't pretend I don't know about John Lewis, but the nearest store is 50-odd miles away. Get REAL diddly!!!!! (OH & I bought something or other there about 10 years ago when visiting family in Devon. That's it so far as that particular store is concerned.)
Jourdain - I think you've misunderstood my post about a John Lewis card - this is a JL Mastercard credit card. Anything I purchase with it in any shop/online earns points. They then send me vouchers which I can use in either John Lewis shops(I don't!) or Waitrose which is my nearest supermarket so I spend them there. We get about £100 in vouchers each year.
