Frankly he's an old man who just happens to be our next King. He can have whatever tests he wishes, that is his privilege. He had been in contact with many people in the last few weeks and I would think it was prudent to test him so they could inform everyone who has had contact with him to look out for symptoms and self isolate.

I’ve stepped back Spicey, I didn’t think it would bring the anti royals out, given the seriousness of the virus
I, too, wish our future King well. But I find it absurd that he is tested and diagnosed within 24 hours of feeling unwell when insufficient testing kits are available for NHS staff.
They show themselves up, bobbi.
we can be concerned for the royals' staff too, Bobbi. If they perform intimate tasks which most of us do for ourselves, then they've been at risk without knowing it.

I've given all our household staff a month off - unpaid of course, and they'll have to leave our grace and favour apartments and sleep on the streets, but I did tip them a fiver each.

Jno, I too am concerned ,as I said earlier, I’m concerned for anyone be it a royal or otherwise, my own daughter is in bed with it after getting it from the dental practice she works at, her, 2 nurses and two dentist are affected
New judge, makes an excellent point . NBI wish no one to be unwell , I know nhs staff who cant get tested .
Thought there was something going on when
Kate was being measured for coronation robes
Hope he makes a full recovery. I also wish the powers that be luck if they try to back-trace all those he has been in contact with.
I hope that anyone with this recovers well and fully, whoever they are (excepting some criminals). He is no more immune than anyone else, so I wish him well.
I wish him well.
I send best wishes for a good recovery to all who may be suffering just now.
"I also wish the powers that be luck if they try to back-trace all those he has been in contact with."
luckily i would have thought that most people would know themselves if they'd been within 2 mtrs of the prince
I wish Charles well. Poor chap has been waiting for the throne forever. No longer the prestigious position it used to be.
I'd take it on, david small, I'd like to be producing all those biscuits.
Royalty doesn't take advice like the rest of us, or do queues.

They're spesh.
Maybe because of the close proximity to his staff they wanted to be sure. I hope he gets through it and I hope his parents stay safe. William needs a few more years to grow into the role
Maybe they should have stood him next to the local medics showing symptoms so they could get tested too.

He’s got mild symptoms, that’s all. He’s not on a ventilator or anything. I wish him no harm, but I’m more concerned about the people he’s been in contact with recently.
NHS Grampian ( staff) went to his home to test him( mild symptoms) Camila tested ( no symptoms) . Maybe the best place to get tested is the Scottish highlands . ( they even do house calls ) .
