Within very little time we had top engineers in this country come together and can now produce a large number of breathing machines, yesterdays news reviled they can make 1000 per day. Other companies are in the process of producing top of the range ventilators.

But getting back to the breathing machines that will keep a lot of folk comfortable and may prevent them ending up on a ventilator, we have this great knowledge and ability, so why is it with all the manufacturers we have of plastic products, such as carry bags, the car industry who have plastic mouldings companies, We can't produce a simple face mask, along with all the other PPE, It just don't make any sense, there's very little engineering compared to every thing else their making? or am I missing something? thanks.

TC, No problem with producing face masks etc.The problem, apparently,is in the distribution.

Well thanks for your answer k13, but that's something else I don't get, we were told that's why we got the army involved 20k of them?? the roads are more or less empty so no hold ups there.
