and local beauty spots, Matt Hancock is saying he will ban all forms of outdoor exercise, despite the fact it is only a small minority doing it while the majority of us stick to the rules. Is this fair?

Easier to arrest the idiots breaking the rules than the rest of us. I hear that London parks are a big problem. Don't parks have gates which can be locked? We have many fewer cars going to the nearby coast than last weekend. Again, it is easier to ask people if they are locals just taking their walk - if not, fine them. The majority should not suffer for the few prats....

Get a grip people. Avoid others while exercising. If encountering people keep a safe distance from them.
Stop scaring yourselves silly.

I'm not scared, I stick to the rules. I'm concerned about the minority spoiling it all.
Me either, scared? nope
Concerned? Yes undoubtedly
The rules Iluvmargie. There cramming them in on the London tube trains. Go figure...

I think people have saddled up their high horses and are cantering around the paddocks.

There are //adbsolutely// going to be people to break the rules (or don't think that they apply to them) - in a country of 52million people over the age of 18, if 99% of people act responsibly, there will still be over half a million behaving in ways that may see the virus spread - but we will never get to 100%.

There's nothing more tiresome than this:

margie, as I said, fair doesn't come into it.
Are “idiots flocking to the beaches”?

Not if reports I’ve seen are to be believed.
I think he used it as a threat on Andrew Marr.
It’s not definitely going to happen

woofgang, I heard you the first time and I too stand by what I said.

Why do you want me to 'go figure' david?

Anyway, Hancock's backtracked now and said it's 'not imminent'.
He never said it was imminent, as I understand it
I heard him say it, he never said it was imminent, just that they would do it if necessary. He also said he understood how hard it would be on the majority of us.
Thank you for B.A. iluvmargie.

You're welcome jourdain.
" Is this fair?"

Yes.

I'll explain why.

This is fair because we're already following the rules. So, it won't make an iota of change to us, already rule followers. However, it will incriminate and stop those who don't care about the rules, our NHS, peoples lives or their integrity from doing these things. Yes it's a shame they might now stop you from going on walks but I'd rather total lockdown for a couple of weeks rather than what we have now, being endless.

Thank you for changing the name Ed.
Eh?
TD, //it won't make an iota of change to us, already rule followers.//

Yes it will. As you go on to say … …

//…they might now stop you from going on walks//
Yeah I don't really care. We need to put an end to this and it's too hard to police.

A lot of people are driving to places to then walk or sit. No. Stay around your local vicinity, keep socially distant. Police will be looking for gatherings of cars at nice places. Not sally walking up the road with her poodle in an estate.
With the high tec the police have now, they only need to take your registration number to know if you've travelled way outside your living area, and could implement a fine by post as per any speed camera can identify you.
