So very sad to hear this - he's tried so hard to keep going and boost us all. As a country we need him to recover - even it you do not agree with his politics.

I always had a bad feeling from the outset when he got the virus. I don't know why. Not a prophetic dream, just a waking thought. I just can't see him back on the TV giving us 5pm press bulletins. I really hope I`m wrong.

Politics is bigger than one man. If the fears expressed above come true, then Johnson's contribution will still be felt long after, either directly or by those who take up his work.

I'm not a Johnson supporter, but I wish him well and a full recovery. I read that his girlfriend has been bedridden also.
