And even if it mutates in order to stick around, it'll just be another infection amongst many others that species have to cope with. Then when genetic science/engineering has matured these things may not be much of an issue any more. Meanwhile the percentage of us expected to get it and survive will hopefully give us this herd immunity they talk about.
I think they called Dr Fauci an expert as he is an immunologist. I don't think there are any experts in this yet.
