perhaps the virus is racist!
poor people have to have more people in smaller houses, that's what being poor means. Seems pretty obvious to me.
Her views would seem to tie in well with what's clearly happening in the USA:

No, I don't agree. They're being offered the same advice as the rest of us and, just like the rest of us, they have to take responsibility for themselves.
Chris, I think the cost of seeking medical help is a BIG factor in the US.
could it be that they are more susceptible due to their genetic makeup?
According to this they're more susceptible because they have several generations living under one roof, hence the vulnerable are unable to isolate.

That isn't as a result of social inequalities though - it's as a result of a cultural norm.
At the risk of being shouted down they tend to be larger households and possibly bot quite so hygiene conscious.

I’d like to see proof that the video was recent before commenting.
The Oldham one was reported in the media in the last few days Zacs
The spread of this virus may well be related to social/ poverty issues...being bunged in a tower block with no real access to open spaces, sharing bedrooms, poor food quality, public transport etc etc may well make people more vulnerable to the spread of the virus and germs in general and less able to fight off infection. If black and asian people are more likely to live in poverty then maybe she has a point although it may well be it is not a race issue.
She has evidence it's down to inequalities ?
Or is she pushing a personal belief/interest ?

The rich always get the best, but that's why we have an NHS. I suspect the reasons some "racial" groups seem more vulnerable would be genetic and cultural in the main.
What a load of absolute carp.

Not everything in life is about race or the perceived racist intonation.

There is no reason anyone should not seek the medical attention they need and they will be treated on a worst case first I should think.

There is no reason why anyone should not be following the rules. Follow the rules and you should be as safe as you can be given the circumstances.

Sociological and economic capacity or status has nothing to do with it other than their particular lifestyle.
well known
been around for yonks

the poorer areas and workers have a shorter shattier life

there are unexpected associations - more men croaking
In the land of the Free - hispanic and black populations are suffering more - er that one is NOT unexpected
// Sociological and economic capacity or status has nothing to do with it other than their particular lifestyle.//

erm sorry this is just wrong
low eek capacity is directly related to a shorter more unhealthy life
( more booze fags, violence and child abuse)

No cassa I dont want to get into a 'discussion' or argument abnout this - if insist youre right fine OK yup
Mosques aren't closing in some parts. Other 'cultural' issues with Muslims who don't feel as constrained by our laws as we do. (with good reason)

Good point about them living in extended families. Young and old all in the same house. Can't split them up.
