Yet again unfulfilled. Booze-ups and breweries springs to mind

The gov.uk website set up for key workers to book coronavirus tests was not accepting new applications on Friday morning.

It said: “Coronavirus test: applications closed. You can’t currently register for a Covid-19 test. Please check back here later.

“If you need any information and advice on Covid-19, read our pages on coronavirus.”

Just to repeat, the tests are only for key workers, with symptoms, who are self isolating.
Plus members of their household I should add.
This thread ends up talking about the NHS and has gone completely off topic in the OP.

I know someone who was tested for CV-19 on Thursday. Phoned the doctor first (Mon), who said all the symptoms are there, 99% certain to be CV-19. Went for the test; it came back negative. That person doesn't work in the NHS or care work.
The OP is specifically about the Govt test for key workers.
cassa333, very good post at 09.45 and coming from someone on the front line but probably wasted on teacake44.
Why read anything posted by Diddly or Teacake. Just ignore them and hopefully they will go away.
11.03Why you reading it then? The NHS is free.
TC //The NHS is free.//
Then what do your National Insurance contributions pay for?
uu
NHS is free.
Perhaps it's free to teacake because she's never paid her taxes. I can't think of another reason it might be free to anyone.
NHS is free. Yes you do no pay at point of delivery of care but your NI contributions go to pay for services.
In the news section. Completely off topic. Why not just ignore , rather than the usual arguments . ?

I think it's quite clear that Teacake is on a bit of a wind-up - she's baiting us, because I simply cannot believe anybody would be stupid enough to think the NHS is free.
Teacake is doing his/her usual thing i'e trolling.
I thought people were going to ignore 'it'.
