How Useless Is Priti Patel?
Re mixed messages from govt: “We’ve been clear about this from the start: You MUST stay at home.
“We’ve also been clear that that you can go to work.”
Yep, that clears it all up.

Yes - she's pretty useless as are most of the government representatives at these press conferences. I thought Grant Schapps was the best of the bunch and I feel sorry for Matt Hancock who's been lumbered with an impossible job.
Looking on the bright side the Smarmy Gove seems to have disappeared - presumably he's been locked in a cupboard.

She sums up this govts' handling of the CV-19 situation. The personified version of the govt is a naked man in the foetal position, with his hands covering his head, locked away in the corner of a bedroom somewhere, hoping, just hoping that all this business will go away. And you should do the same. Cos it's a national crisis.
The economy? What's that got to do with anything? My government will just print lots of bank notes. That will solve all the money and financial issues. And I commend it to the House!

Anyway, I'm just off to do some panic shopping, if I can dodge past the CV Vigilantes at the local Supermarket.
I wonder how Supermarket staff would have reacted to all this if it had been persisting down for the last few weeks? I bet they wouldn't have been so willing to play the camp guards if had been bucketing down for days on end.

"You just sense that the Tories since last summer jettisoned a lot of their better people just as Labour did "
No neither party jettisoned better people. They have both cleared of the infiltrators, for the Tories the Liberal elitists and for labour the Marxist/Commies.
I do usually have a lot of respect for Priti, however on her performance in recent days I am not so sure. I think she, along with many others, are misreading the public. People need to go to work and they do not appreciate being told what to do because a secret meeting says so.
Civil unrest could be round the corner, especially now the weather is turning.
