//why is Fender's suggestion at 00:26 so outrageous? Fender bang on. I've been saying for years that we should give the council powers to confiscate their Porsches etc to pay for the damage they cause and powers to move them on without hissing about in court for a week. Maybe they'd join the human race then//
First things first, I agree that they must be held responsible for any crimes committed, particularly criminal damage of property they have taken root on. If they left places in the same state they left them, they would find that people are more accepting of them.
On to Fender's post...
//you could ban them from driving, confiscate there cars//
On what basis? Despite everything, they have rights. Driving bans cannot be handed out without reason, and property cannot be confiscated without reason. If they have commited a criminal offence, or own the vehicle illegally, then no problem, but otherwise it's just not doable.
//finger prints them all and see if there's any match on police databases for wanted
criminals, child endangerment, public nuisance, illegal parking//
That's a grey area. Can prople be nicked and profiled without reason? I'm no expert (maybe RC can comment on the legality of this), but it seems dodgy.
//find faults with vehicles, thus have to be destroyed or repaired, then find more faults with vehicles//
To me, this sounds like the old "pulling someone over for a broken headlight" ploy. Making up faults just so vehicles can be removed. Our police force is better than that.
//then crush them while they watch.//
Vindictive much?
Look, I agree that they need to be policed, but not throigh illegal means. Prosecute them for what they've done, not make up crap in order to trap them.
