Our vets are working. Not just emergencies
//We would like to reassure you that at this uncertain time, we are still here to care for your pets if they are sick.
However to reduce social interactions we are now postponing all routine appointments. If that applies to you, our staff will be in touch. Do not hesitate to phone if you have queries or concerns about your pet.
If your pet is on a longterm medication this will be supplied as usual.
When visiting the practice for an appointment or to collect medications and food, please wait in your car and phone the reception on 01328 855814, to let us know you have arrived.
Alternatively, we are offering telephone/video veterinary appointments. These would be booked in a specific time slot and a normal consultation fee would be charged. However, there will be scenarios where telemedicine isn't appropriate.
Please don't hesitate to contact the practice if you have any questions.//

Thank you Apc, I have tried and tried to explain all that to them. I've told them I will follow all their rules and just wait outside for my dog, but it's like trying to get blood out of a stone. I have pointed out that it will become an emergency if it isn't done soon, but they simply will NOT do it. Another thing they are refusing to do is clip dogs nails, and Ican't understand how they can compare cutting nails to emptying anal glands!
Sorry lb, I didn't see it. I have considered doing it myself in desperation, but when I checked on YouTube, I knew I couldn't do it, I'm too squeamish. I have tried other vets and they won't do it either, apparently it's guidelines from the RCVS (I've emailed them too to tell them what I think of them and this ridiculous ruling), but my dog isn't registered with the other vets anyway, it's the vet I have used for several years now that I am angry with for not doing it and yes, I am going to change them when all this madness is over!
//My vet's has been open throughout retro, but only for what they call emergencies//
Then that's their choice, Margie and nothing to do with the PM. You said you wished he would allow the vets to open properly again. He hasn't stopped them from doing so.
