Not necessarily Tambo, the bats may well have been carrying a dormant form of covid-19 for years without anyone knowing about it. The immune system of animals and humans are very different things.

And Trump's response to it, which his past form should be taken into account. Even if it was a loaded question, Trump's past pedigree meant he was going to respond true to form. He's an easy mark for journos.
