Then if you are not six years old or Donald Trump you will have learned - as he has still to do - that statements offered in print do not offer the reader the benefit of knowing you, or your sense of humour, so they tend to be taken as seriously offered, unless either accompanied by a smile, an explanation mark, or be so outrageous to be obviously ironic.
