How can * they* even think of doing this at this time?
These nurses and Doctors are vital in the running of the NHS and should not be penalised , they aren’t the ones coming to our shores on dinghys ,they are providing a special service to us in Britain, this should be scrapped forthwith

If they choose to come and work in the UK then they accept our rules. I presume that if they went to work in the USA they would have to pay into a private healthcare scheme which would be much more than £50 per month. Every country has its immigration rules, and you can't emigrate for work, then complain about the rules.
