No mention of sex in the article, only that a person from another household cannot meet you in your house.
I think the sex bit was added by the Metro.
We know it goes on- someone from another household staying over and maybe having sex. It's really just a signal to people so they know what they shouldn't be doing. I doubt there will be much effort by police to prove it but if they find a group of 10 staying over at your house or if someone admits to it then it can be included in any charges.
It's the paper that's getting silly in my opinion but as the headline attracts readers I can see why they do it

It was being discussed by Piers Morgan earlier too Danny

The media are spinning like a top in all of this FF
Piers Morgan will have ago at anything the government does. Sometimes he's right, sometimes he's just objectionable and mischief making. He rarely comes out with a constructive suggestion though or acknowledges the good work being done
If rule is that a person cannot meet you in your home why would a special mention of sex or any other activity be necessary?
More fag packet reactionary guff, better to be seen doing something as nothing.
So do you have abetter suggestion douglas?

I think the government release a directive then the papers and people like PM go into overdrive to put a spin on it,shamefully !
Maybe blame Cummings but I think it is necessary for the government to spell it out so the police know where they stand and we don't have people saying "is it guidance or is a rule?". Shame we can't rely on common sense but some just don't realise the rules/guidelines and laws are there to help them and to stop them infecting friends, family and maybe strangers/one night stands

see paragraph 6 - "sex" isn't mentioned as an exception so I guess what the press are saying would be correct.
Again no mention of sex:-

Obviously the article wasn't aimed at Answerbankers- it would have been something like "doing a crossword or jigsaw with someone you don't live with..."
Mushroom, there are plenty of activities that are not mentioned as exceptions but the press have just decided to mention sex.
// Obviously the article wasn't aimed at Answerbankers- it would have been something like "doing a crossword or jigsaw with someone you don't live with..." //

don't forget to add "in every category except the correct one...."
:-)
Yes I do.

Arrange trysts with prospective sexual partners to coincide with legitimate travel on public transport.
You're already breathing in what hundreds of others exhale and emit so one more activity ain't going to tip the balance.
Personal protective equipment should be used to avoid accidents on slippery floors though.
Headlines are designed to persuade you to read the article; sex in the headline means more people will read it.
"How do they prove it?" Nosy neighbours reporting on 'noisy' neighbours, perhaps? :-)
I didn't think you would have anything constructive, douglas. But wit is useful in these times
