I wonder what happened to the pilot as he was taxiing towards the larger aircraft. An attack of some sort?

^ I like the progs about crashes. I remember the Trident crash in Staines. My uncle worked for Hawker Siddely and the Trident was his baby.

I find the forensic work undertaken in finding the exact reason for the crashes , really interesting

I note that there is an episode of said programme , showing later on tonight on National Geographic channel

^ I remember talking to an engineer who was one of the first people on the scene of that crash. He said it was eerily quiet and all of the people in the aicraft appeared about 4 ft tall because their spines had been compressed due to the impact of the crash.

I recall units of the Met Police SPG attending the Cabbage field where the LHR Trident crashed. They were there to retrieve property and bodys and itemise same with a view to identification. Shortly after their work was done a rumour spread that the aircraft had been carrying radio active material. There were a load of very young worried coppers thinking,if they survived, they would be firing blanks ever after.

I remember as a child, going to London to visit my Gran.. While we were there, my Uncle was staying there as well because he was involved in the crash investigation. I remember there was (as I remembered it) a lump of metal inside the front door. I remember someone saying to me "Whatever you do, do not touch that" It was the black box and my uncle was taking it back up to Chester for anaylsis
