Why Do They Bother
Just read a report that opening the shops, cafes and pubs has failed to deliver the boost to the economy that's needed. Why do they print such tosh. Just out of interest did anyone on here expect it to? High numbers losing their jobs, some still on 80% and not knowing if their going to keep their jobs, but they expect the shops to be crammed full, and new car sales take off. Needless to mention they've only been open a few days.

Non- essential shops have been open for three weeks. Pubs, restaurants and barbers for three days. It will need time to get where it's going to get to. Our blessed leader (peas be upon her) has decreed that from Friday we must wear a face mask when we want to do something as simple as buy a newspaper.

The problem with Ms Sturgeon's guidance is that just about all she is interested in is maintaining virus infections below the numbers in England. Not very difficult anyway when vast swathes of Scotland contain only a crofter's cottage every few miles and quite a bit of it is completely uninhabitable. Even easier when you don't have to worry yourself about the economy as the Barnett Formula tends to deliver a few bob more per head in Scotland than it does south of the border.
