// As I've asked before, what was the point of WWII ?//

on the subject of re writing history
I said me auld Dad was in a POW camp and was asked why he wasnt gassed as he was in a Death Camp.
and I morosely drew peoples attention to the re-thinking that it was all about genocide, and 12 m dead.
It lasted 5 mins and I was strictly enjoined by one of the talkers ( and my! doesnt she talk!) that I shouldnt insult.
oh and everyone here er supported free speech

World War Two is a tricky one, Peter, as you well know. WW1, now no tricks there, just imperialism on the prowl.
But not sure that we went to war against Mr Hilter BECAUSE he was a fascist git - that realisation came a bit later on. And I'm definitely NOT saying we shouldn't have fought the Nazis, just that our reasons for doing so are a bit blurry.

// (including in the latter case chucking out the US imperialists).//
hat is a bit old if you dont mind me saying
and er needs re writing
including in the latter case chucking out the British imperialists right out of Hong Kong. 1997
and now look at them - looking back on the times of the colony as a halcyon time of freedom before they all go into concentration camps

the questioner (kissinger) and the respondent (chou) had what can be described as a "failure to come to a complete understanding". Kissinger was talking about the storming of the bastille, etc. Chou thought he was referring to the student riots in Paris of the late 1960s, and answered accordingly. Nixon's translator (who confirmed the story about 15 years ago) said the misunderstanding was too delicious to correct.

Tambo @ 09:09; "My USA rellies say BLM are armed with AKs & military IS dress code. They turn whites out of Texas KKK style as BLM claim it for blacks only."
As it would appear that nearly every American has access to an AK, I can well believe that part. As for the rest? Surely something like that would have had at least a small mention in the World press. Even the odd 'hit' on Google. But nothing, nada, zilch, can I find.
