Caroline Flack Inquest.
I'm not quite sure of all the details, but it seems Caroline's death was partly brought about by obtrusive police, who instead of cautioning her, insisted the case went to the CPS.

Yes, she hit her boyfriend. Her Mum reckoned that the police and CPS would not have pursued it if she wasn't famous. Being famous, she made a good example. But the reason she killed herself wasn't because she was being prosecuted. It's because she feared her treatment in the press. We can't have a situation where famous people can't be prosecuted for lesser...

In the interests of equality it was correct that she should have faced a charge of domestic violence.
Her pain and panic came from the fact that she knew her court appearnaces would turn into a media/pap feeding-frenzy and she couldn't bear the shame....
I feel desperately sorry for the predicament in which she found herself and for her family who have had to deal with the repercussions from the manner in which she decided to deal with it.

The media will dwell on the fact that the police pursued a court case, and because they appeal to the worst of human nature, they will make that the sole reason why she killed herself - to avoid a 'show trial' as they will call it.
The truth is, she was a clearly disturbed young woman, and there will have been various forces at work here - and probably no single one that can be identified as the sole reason for her tragic death.
But the media must sell papers, so they'll go the first way, because that chimes with the outrage of people who like to get upset about things, and people, they actually know nothing about.

well the advice of perfection is
dont hit anyone
which most of us do ( or dont )
at an inquest - only the questions the coroner wants are asked - he just says no if he doesnt like the question
and I thought he inquired effectively into whether the police officer had done if for improper reasons
and decided it was a fair cop
the cop basically said she didnt look or do sorry enough
in order to get a caution
but as they say - - - she had done it

But the reason she killed herself wasn't because she was being prosecuted. It's because she feared her treatment in the press. We can't have a situation where famous people can't be prosecuted for lesser offences because of the treatment they might receive. We also can't expect people with fragile mental health to just deal with it.
Hard to know what's best, but it would be helpful if the public did not support the papers that behave so badly that people kill themselves rather than experience their treatment.

She lobbed a heavy mobile phone at her sleeping boyfriend which injured him.
Someone called the police, police attended. She admitted harming him.
If you've seen the photos of the blood at the scene, most of that blood is not the victim's.
Whoever took that photo and gave it to media is dispicable.
She was obviously a fragile human being.
The police did want to caution her but she changed her story at the police station and wouldn't accept the caution.

"Caro!Ines boyfriend did not want to press charges,"
As is the case with many domestic violence cases for both men and women which is why the Old Bill pursue cases without them pressing any charges. For this Ladies mother to say they would not pursue charges for someone not famous is simply not correct.
Plod didnt kill her the MSM did most of that in search of click bait and profit - like they do with everything.
Sad case but it isnt Plods fault, they dont prosecute and they should not really be judge and jury which is why the CPS is there.
I can imagine the headlines he she got off with a caution!
