//I don't like wearing a seat belt in the car but I do it because it's illegal not to. If someone stopped my car, knocked on the window and harangued me to undo my seat belt on the basis that I was one of the sheeple doing the bidding of 'the man' i'd probably get out and punch them.//
Quite right too. Now imagine this: you have an exemption from wearing a seat belt (lots of people do, you can find a list of those who qualify within the legislation). So you’re driving around with no seat belt on, as is your right. Then go on to imagine that someone stopped your car, knocked on the window and harangued you to fasten your seat belt on the basis….well I don’t know on what basis.
That’s what’s happening to a number of people who cannot wear face coverings. Many of them are not so robust as you and I am and they cannot deal with the aggro caused by people following the recommendation of Commissioner Dick of Dock Green, who hoped that people will be "shamed" into wearing a face covering. As a result, where they used to go out following their end of their house arrest they now don’t visit shops or use public transport. Is that right?
