We'll probably never know the true facts. We also don't know how many white drivers get followed/stopped. Having said that I think there is a problem with some officers, maybe based on their experience of such crimes and the ethnicity pattern, who wrongly assume that because a fairly high proportion of crimes are carried out by one ethnic group that means a high proportion of the people in that ethnic group are criminals.

We probably do, actually, but the issue isn't so much the fact that people are followed/stopped, it's the reason why. Black people are complaining that they're being followed/stopped for no reason other than the fact that they're black. I don't think white people are complaining that they're followed/stopped for being white.

I recall a black police Inspector was stopped in his private car about 10 years ago. He was found to have a large quantity of recreational drugs in the vehicle which he was dealing. I suppose that was racist as well was it allen?
