Looking For British/Australian Series With A Fantastical/Supernatural Angle

i like series that are basically 'normal' life but with a twist, like a supernatal or fantastical twist - such as Misfits, Being Human, Glitch, etc

Basically anything that is not 'normal' happening to normal people, haha

so timetravel, weird unexplained event, ghosts, zombies, vampires, magic, etc

ive tried various american ones, but im looking for british and australian ones in particular now, i think there must be a few that passed me by over the years.
(unless you know of an unusual US one that i probably havent heard of)

any ideas/recommendations?

Life on Mars? Wikipedia:
Life on Mars tells the fictional story of Sam Tyler, a policeman in service with the Greater Manchester Police. After being hit by a car in 2006, Tyler awakens in 1973 to find himself working for the Manchester and Salford Police, at the same station and location as in 2006. Early on in the series, it becomes apparent to Tyler that he awakes as a Detective Inspector, one rank lower than his 2006 rank of Detective Chief Inspector. Throughout the two series, the plot is based on the ambiguity of Tyler's predicament and the lack of clarity, to both the audience and the character, whether he has died, become comatose or has time travelled.

The Fades was good. The Being Human spin off show, Becoming Human had some great moments too.

Torchwood maybe, if you like your Sci-Fi, but stick to the season three mini series, Children of Earth.

I know you wanted to steer clear of US shows, but anything by Bryan Fuller is worth watching. I especially recommend Dead Like Me or Pushing Daisies.

Have you seen 'The Secret She Keeps' ?
Is an Australian series that was shown very recently on bbc1. Might be still on catch up or iplayer. It was a must see gripping drama with lots of twists n turns. I highly recommend

Eureka was an American series, but it was very good. If you want to expand to American series then I can heartily recommend Warehouse 13. Great fun and links in with Eureka.
