Ate the only fig on the tree I planted last year. If that is a taste of things to come it was perfect. Standing on a balcony full of plants it was sweet and soft and it just made me smile. The pearl tomatoes were pretty good too

I love figs, baked with a drizzle of honey.

Judging by the figlets developing I will have loads next year. They aren't the ones you get in the supermarket pink inside and very sweet

My mums neighbour used to grow them. They were lovely.

Fig trees in Greece have a particularly lovely smell. I don't know if they do here. Your fig sounded gorgeous Rowan.

My neighbour gave us some plums from his tree yesterday, sweetest ones we've ever had.

yes my homegrown one beat the shop ones into flinders. I am hoping for some more warm weather as I have got a good second crop and don't want to have to cut them all off.

After 3 days of negotiations,
I am to be told,
after 3pm today,
whether I have been accepted and will be allowed to
adopt a rescue dog.
EEEEK. It's agony waiting. I so want this poor little chap.
