I loved him as DS Hathaway, but he seems to have gone a bit weird.
With his own political party promoting a rather confused set of ideas.

I don’t know exactly what they mean by that, and neither to you I would bet (it sounds like one of those *** phrases)
But don’t tell me you, Laurence Fox or anyone else is using that as a basis for claiming that Sainsbury’s is a 21st century supermarket equivalent of S Africa or the Deep South :-)
I mean you’ve all been on the anti race discrimination protests and BLM and all that so I know it’s a subject close to your heart :-)

I have been to plenty of gatherings that are anti-race discrimination thank you very much.
You're not smart with such comments, you're actually a pric k.

//Recently we provided our black colleagues with a safe space to gather in response to the Black Lives Matters movement.//
I didn't for a second take that to mean segregation. I took it to me a no tolerance view on racism, meaning the "black colleagues" were free to gather free from having to suffer any abuse. Hopefully, that expands to all people employed by Sainsburys.

Sainsbury's patronise, differentiate and segregate their black employees and advice the rest of us to shop elsewhere if we believe in racial segregation. Hmm. I remember then South African and Rhodesia did that...didn't half cause a fuss. However I do take good advice so will not be going ahead with the guaranteed delivery service that was on offer, despite this winter looking pretty challenging for we older folk. I will take my deliveries from elsewhere.
An 'Ethnicity Pay Gap' is mentioned here but with little detail.
