Why woud they infect people? Surely there are plenty of cases to try the vaccine out on.

Have they tried it on cats? I'm not advocating animal testing here but as they seem to catch it as well it may have been a starting point.

Ah yes, they were trialling plasma/antibodies on monkeys a couple of months ago if I remember rightly. Something like that anyway.

Do you really believe that people (Andrew Lloyds-Bank aside) are going to do this for nothing? There was a cove on the TV last night who is participating in this scheme and who has taken part in many others because "the money comes in very handy."
