Bbc Stops Presenters Wearing Poppies.

Total botox from the Beeb as usual. I saw a rememberance sevice last year, or year before, which was held at the Menin Gate. France. It had most European heads of state or their representatives attending. Merkel,Wilhelmina,Duke and Duchess of Cambridge etc. Poppys were worn by most in different forms. The traditional sort and ornate diamonte types. I doubt anyone of any nationality had difficulty in recognising its solemn significance. If people are that ignorant as to what they represent then they can damn well google it. If this story is true then shame,again ,on the beeb.

They wouldn't have been allowed the poppies at all if there were an issue.

If true and the BBC think some folk would not understand the significance of the poppy, they should do a piece on their website giving the background to it. If I notice something on TV and I've not seen it before, I'll look on Google for it.

If the BBC want to keep folk "informed, educated and entertained", how will they do that by only doing or showing things that everyone already knows about?

Just watched the start of to-day's programme and the same two presenters are both wearing poppies.

Friday's programme is not available to watch so I was only able to go on what all was said and shown in the video but there appears to be more to it.
