However, poor Danes - they say a woman needs four animals in her life.
1. A mink on her back
2. A Jaguar in her garage
3. A Tiger in her bed.
4. A *** or Ass to pay for it all.
Looks like the Danes are one down.

People will still buy mink fur and is it better for the mink to be bred in closely regulated countries like European countries or in countries like China?

margie, I have been to slaughter houses and seen how pigs, cattle and sheep are slaughtered - there is nothing kind about it. As I eat meat, eggs and dairy products, and wear leather and sheepskin, I don't feel I have the moral high ground where the farming of any animal is concerned, nor over people who choose to wear fur.
You seem very quick to insult people and name call. It really is unnecessary to get your point across.

Barry, me neither... I was a vegetarian from about 8 to 20. But gave up while I was breastfeeding, as I was constantly starving. Now... I am OK with animals having a life, and also taking risks.... like people are allowed to- as long as they are properly cared for and risks are minimised.
The most hypocritical people i have seen on here, are vegans.

It's a shame you don't know my daughter, pixie. She is a vegan eco-warrior that cooks offal to feed her rescue dogs (the smell turns my stomach) and was arrested many times (thankfully not charged) for her beliefs before she had children.
She is passionate about animal welfare and the planet but truly does respect other people's beliefs and right to eat whatever they choose. We have lively debates but have never fallen out over veganism.

This is the first time I ahead said it, Allen. As it never occurred to me before. I don't want to name names, as she doesn't seem to be here just now. But one vegan seems to believe that her morals about animals are above other people's.
However, one on hand says that all lives are equal, now matter how big or small.
But on the other, accepts that many insects and small animals die, in order for her to eat....
At least most of us realise the hypocrisy, without pretending we are any different.
