There is a difference between ignored and seen but considered unworthy of comment, or to comment would not add to the conversation. In my case suffering from US election fatigue. Let's put our own house in order first,

Just going on that video, (as I don't know any further details) Biden said "Freeze" rather than "cut") in the initial soundbite. I have no idea how long that would've been for, and it's not mentioned in the clip, so I don't know the context. Besides, it's 24 years old (the soundbite, rather than the video). People change their minds over that length of time.

Oh, as for being (publically) ignored, that can be a blessing. Avoids the feeling of needing to return and argue your case again or clarify/answer. Having stated a view, you can more easily move on without getting caught up.
