Well plainly Trump hasn't.
His strategy does not appear to have worked. At least if Biden reverts to the original deal it will unite the civilised world again, which Trump managed to split.

But "stopping the bomb" could also mean diplomacy, which Trump seemed not to want to pursue with Iran, while strangely doing just that with N Korea.
There already was an agreement with Iran which Trump tore up.

Will JB be able to stop Iran, no. Going back to the previous deal would be pointless, it wasnt working - something new needs to be tried. The problem is, as pointed out above Iran wants to bomb Israel out of existence and have said so on more than one occasion. They cannot attack Israel at the moment as they do have Nuclear capability, although whether they would use it is another debate, so as TTT says - they want the bomb whatever.
