Desk diary......I just don't get this RIP on AB.
Fine if their name is known, but we have some bizarre names.....to me anyway.
Plus.......how else can one be dead, other than "in peace?"
//Sqad, it's a polite way of saying "I hope she doesn't go to hell" //
It's when those on AB who constantly proudly claim their atheism give a R.I.P. it then it is pure hypocrisy. If there is NO heaven or hell then what is going to disturb some decaying skin and bone except worms?
So.If you just die and no soul goes up or down (basic atheism) then you ain't going to worry about exhumation. There are plenty of bone collections in the N.H. museum. Should they be put back in their tombs lest we offend?
Didn't say anyone should worry about it, Retro. You suggested only worms may disturb bones. A digger is a tad bigger than a worm, is it not? By the way, my reply was tongue-in-cheek. I'm for the bonfire when i go, then scattered on the top of Pendle Hill. Though knowing my lot, they may just get about half way up before deciding, "This'll do."
Or dear, poor Canary just wanted a quiet moment to show respect to Etty as she departs this world. She was a very familiar face at Carrow Road and will be missed. It doesn't natter if you havent heard of her. On the Ball City, never mind the danger.
What a smart lady she was and a good age. No doubt she ate well too. Thanks for the post Canary.
A minor celebrity? Good grief! Delia is my go-to cook for any recipe and imo she outruns Mary Berry anyday. Delia's recipes are the best of traditional cooking.
