The fat lady has just appeared on the stage. Not the beginning of the end,but the end of the beginning. Many people have many doubt and that I understand, the anti vaccination group i understand less if at all. Have your jabs but keep to government recommendati ons and we will be back to normal by June.

Its going to be a difficult admin exercise to get the vaccinnes rolled out to all care homes, especially the smaller ones given the transport and storage issues and the difficulties with giving a jab to very frail residents and dementure ones. Its important to do as many as possable as soon as possable though. Doing are NHS staff will get most done in shortest time and having protected NHS staff will mean an even better service to patient's.
Covid patients, gness. If you look at his last postings, it would be clearer. It's just the attitude that is appalling... particularly when he claims it is most of his colleagues who feel the same.
I'm sure you are aware, that I have also dealt with awful deaths over years, and look after people with covid. But vaccination or not, I would never see a patient/client, with such contempt as chilli suggests is acceptable.

I recall Chill's distress and appeal to us after the Covid death of a colleague. Can't find but recall him being upset at the state of some patients with Covid.
Surely to god we can empathise with and understand medics who are absolutely knackered by now, Pixie.
I have sat with the dying over the years, Pixie...held my dying husband's hand and cuddled my dying granddaughter as she stopped breathing. You have dealt with deaths. If you know anything about Covid you'll know that was nothing to what some of the NHS workers are having to deal with now.
I chat to my nephew often. I see his tears after holding a phone to the ear of one of his dying patients.
For god's sake, Pixie...have some thought for them.
Please, Pixie...show me Chilldoubt's contempt.

I have said exactly that myself, gness... but I can find no excuse for that kind of attitude towards patients.
I haven't reread this, but I believe it was this one that changed my mind x

I've just reread the thread referenced by Pixie - yes CD is very angry - but not about people who actually have Covid - or indeed about those who may have it before they get offered a vaccine.
What he's furious about (and yes, he does reflect the views of many medical professionals) is that people my refuse the vaccine, but then expect the NHS to come running to help when they catch Covid.
Yes the NHS will always help (and I'm sure CD would too) - but it won't stop them feeling angry about the waste of resources which is involved in treating an entirely avoidable infection.

Did you read the link? As you said yourself... most people caring for those who are ill, are upset and have compassion for them. We don't call them morons, whether they have contributed to it themselves or not.
If you have read the link, and admire chill's attitude to patients... I will have to leave you to it and just be glad I would never feel like he does.

Dave, anger, frustration.... etc. Nobody has the right to suggest people should die a horrible death because they were ignorant and made the wrong choice. Particularly, someone who works for the NHS. I'll have to just say the same as I just did to gness... I am glad I no nobody in the same situation with the same attitude. And I sincerely hope he doesn't work in any of my local hospitals. The majority of NHS staff are caring and he is doing them no favours.
And the implied threats referencing his employers 'social media policies' have no place on AB - I remember with chilling unhappiness how someone was maliciously 'outed' to their employers and very nearly lost their job.
I hope the editor is watching with some attention the person who made the threat to CD (smiley face or not).

Change your word admire for the word understand, Pixie.
I understand how hard it will be to treat those who succumb to Covid through stupidity...they will be treated though.
Chill has never said anything untoward about the patients he has treated who have developed Covid through no fault of their own and often through being at the front line helping others.
And I hope I never treat a front line worker as you have treated Chill by failing to understand what they are saying.

SD I can absolutely assure CD that no way would I ever report someone to their employer and resent your suggestion that I would. You probably retired from work before employers social media policies existed but as you say yourself - someone was reported from here. That is my point and if I was CD I would ask the Ed to remove his previous remarks because you never know who is reading them and he could be putting himself in a precarious position. That is all I am going to say to you on the matter.
